Concetto Pozzati, a painter and intellectual, born in 1935 in Vò (Padua), he moved to Bologna in 1949 and he went to Paris to study in 1955 He taught advertising graphics and painting in Bologna, Urbino, Venice and Florence, he was councillor for culture in the Bologna City Council, giving a fundamental push towards the creation of MAMbo - Museum of Modern Art of Bologna. He exhibited at international events including the Venice Biennale (five editions, since 1964) and Sao Paulo, Brazil, Tokyo and Paris, and Dokumenta in Kassel. He set up anthologies in various Italian cities and between 2015 and 2016, MAMbo dedicated an extensive anthological exhibition to him, starting with the artist's works in the Bolognese museum’s collection.
