Davide Longo was born in Carmagnola (Turin) in 1971. He is a writer, teacher, documentary director, and author of theatrical and radio texts. His first novel Un mattino a Irgalem and the subsequent one Il mangiatore di pietre were published by Marcos y Marcos. His art and children's books (Pirulin senza parole, E più non dimandare and La vita a un tratto) were published by Corraini Edizioni. In 2007 he edited the anthology Racconti di montagna for Einaudi. In January 2010, Fandango published L'uomo verticale. His latest novels: Ballata di un amore italiano, Il caso Bramard and Così giocano le bestie giovani were published by Feltrinelli. He wrote the screenplay for the film Il Mangiatore di Pietre, starring Luigi Lo Cascio. He lives in Turin where he teaches writing at the Holden School. His books have been translated and published in many countries.
