Giuseppe Varchetta was born in Riva del Garda (Trento) in 1940. He lives and works in Milan. A psychologist of the psycho-socio-analytical training, he was a founding member and former president of Ariele. After a considerable experience in the area of training, organizational development and personnel management, he was a contract professor at the Università Statale Bicocca in Milan, where he now works as an expert in the subject. He has always photographed with his own camera, developing some of his favourite themes: the relationship between user and contemporary art, urban landscape and art, organizational work, portraits "by hand". He photographs exclusively in black and white and with analogical cameras.
