Meri Gorni, an artist, lives and works in Paderno Dugnano. She studied Philosophy at the Università Statale di Milano. Meri Gorni writes and draws. When she writes she deals with painting and images. In her drawings, photographs, installations, videos, there is always a word, a sentence, a concept related to reading and writing because drawing and writing for her have the same root. She has been building a visual vocabulary for more than twenty years, where every word corresponds to a video. Her books are present in the Martano Collection at the J. Watson Library, the Metropolitan Museum, New York and in the Della Grazia Collection at the Mart in Rovereto. She has exhibited at galleries and museums in Italy and abroad.
