Valerio Vidali is an Italian illustrator based in Berlin. His work has received several awards, including the Grand Prix of ILUSTRARTE, the International Biennal of Illustration (Lisbon); the CJ Picture Book Award (Seoul); the New York Times/New York Public Library Best Illustrated Children’s Books Award, as well as honors from the American Society of Illustrators and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. His clients include Templar Publishing, Random House, Candlewick Press, The New York Times, Il Sole 24 ore, RCS, Einaudi Ragazzi, La Nuova Frontiera, Planeta Tangerina.
