More than 2,500 years have passed since Aesop, Phaedrus and Apion wrote their Fables, and even today there is no one who does not know at least one of the many stories featuring the fox, the lion, the wolf or the donkey.
These talking animals, bearers of universal vices and virtues, display characters and behaviours that are part of our daily lives, and there is always something to learn from listening to their voice.
This small series of books for children translated and edited by Mario Ramous
reproduces the original volumes published in 1952 by Licinio Cappelli Editore and includes Fables of the Wolf, Fables of the Fox, Fables of the Lion and
Fables of the Donkey. The illustrations by the Bolognese artist Pirro Cuniberti, a pupil of Giorgio Morandi, enrich the texts with colourful and playful images that will fascinate adults and children alike.
