Scrivere il segno
This book accompanies the exhibition to be held in the LaGALLERIA arte contemporanea space at the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, organised in collaboration with Corraini Arte Contemporanea and the Galerie Tanglberg in Vorchdorf (Austria).
The exhibition, curated by Peter Assmann, Renata Casarin and Fabiola Naldi, investigates the graphic process in its conception and unravelling, focusing on the language of drawing as both writing and sign.
Alongside illustrious 19th and 20th century names such as Millet, Pisarro, Kubin, Kokoschka, Nitsch, Rainer, Fioroni, Munari and Cerone, the exhibition features seven young Italian artists: Sergia Avveduti, Luca Barcellona, Giulio Camagni, Giovanni De Lazzari, Giuseppe De Mattia, Fausto Gilberti and Brigitte Mahlknecht.
The artists will, from time to time, be guests in residence at LaGALLERIA and will give rise to a daily drawing space to encourage interaction with the public and trigger multiple reflections on contemporary languages within a veritable creative workshop.
