With these words Angela Vettese, an important art critic among the authors of the texts with Barry Schwabsky and Mel Gooding, underlines the importance of colour in Maria Morganti's paintings; colour is searched for with patience, it is laid with strong and thick licks.
This book documents the important exhibition held at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in 2006, and it is built as if the reader were a visitor of the exhibition itself: browsing it, you pass through every room, then you see, beyond a door, the final explosion of colours by 300 cards attached to the wall.
The exhibition ends with the "Diaries", where the different colours, laid in progressive stripes, give the right rhythm.

A 7 colors silkscreen by Maria Morganti made in 100 editions was printed in occasion of the publication of the book.
