MAXXI Bvlgari Prize 2022

The book is dedicated to the three finalists of in the third edition of the MAXXI BVLGARI PRIZE, the project for the support and promotion of young artists that unites MAXXI and Bvlgari, and over the years has launched many new talents onto the international scene. The artists selected for this third edition are Alessandra Ferrini (Florence 1984), Silvia Rosi (Scandiano – RE 1992) and Namsal Siedlecki (Greenfield USA 1986): three artists that move freely between different languages and disciplines, ranging from the topos of portrait photography in Rosi’s case, to socio-historiographical and anthropological investigation in Ferrini’s research, and the processes of transformation of matter in Siedlecki’s work.
The volume features photographs of the artists’ works; critical essays by the jurors of the Prize (Hou Hanru, Dirk Snauwaert, Chiara Parisi, Simone Frangi and Pier Paolo Pancotto) and texts by Giulia Ferracci based on her conversations with the artists.
