This is an unprecedented collaboration, at least in this form, in the long history of the Biennale. The dialogue between the two institutions has taken place on three different levels: the co-production of works such as those by Meriem Bennani and Tamara Henderson, the creation of a comprehensive catalogue, upcoming in the Fall of 2019, and most importantly the realization of a brand-new, site-specific version of the Geneva exhibition, purposely designed by Andreas Angelidakis for OGR.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis volume is the catalogue of the \u003cstrong\u003e16th edition of the Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement (BIM)\u003c\/strong\u003e. The Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement was founded in 1985 in Geneva and was reinvented in 2014 as a platform for producing new works. A unique hybrid event— at the crossroads of a film festival, a plethora of solo exhibitions, performances and a platform for research and production—the BIM brings together visual artists, performers, musicians and filmmakers. The latter engage in a dialogue with the curators throughout the production process of a new work, financed or co-financed by the Centre and premiering in Geneva. The Biennale de l’Image en Mouvement in Geneva \u003cstrong\u003ehas therefore become a full-fledged production platform, with each edition presenting only new works\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003cstrong\u003e\u003ca href=\"https:\/\/ogrtorino.it\"\u003eOGR\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e series, curated and published by \u003cstrong\u003eCorraini Edizioni\u003c\/strong\u003e, takes up a key theme of the institution itself, that of movement, particularly in the sense of progression and forward projection.\u003cbr\u003eEach of the books produced is more than just a catalogue that brings together texts and images from the exhibition: the close and enduring collaboration between artists, curators, editors and book publishers makes it possible to create a \u003cstrong\u003e\"second act\" of the exhibition\u003c\/strong\u003e each time, enabling the reader to delve deeper into the works, study them and visit the space through the pages.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"corraini-shop","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":53629429317962,"sku":"L152","price":32.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0993\/8652\/3978\/files\/ogr-the-sound-of-screens-exploding.jpg?v=1768327038","url":"https:\/\/corraini.com\/en\/products\/the-sound-of-screens-imploding","provider":"corraini-shop","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
