The first section of the catalogue is dedicated to the \u003cstrong\u003e19 Compasso d’Oro Award\u003c\/strong\u003e winners, who were judged on the quality represented by each specific field of design. In some cases the prizes were awarded for the focus on the user as the fundamental starting point from which the entire process began, in others it was their attention to eco-sustainability, and in others, technical experimentation and use of new materials.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eIn addition to the traditional awards, the second part includes \u003cstrong\u003e77 Special Mentions\u003c\/strong\u003e , goods considered excellent in a range of categories, from home design to theoretical research, history and criticism of design, visual design, design of materials and other categories. Together these become part of the \u003cstrong\u003eCompasso d’Oro ADI Historic Collection\u003c\/strong\u003e. The final section is dedicated to the 6 Compasso d’Oro Career Awards and include those conferred on \u003cstrong\u003eEnzo Mari\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003eGiancarlo Iliprandi\u003c\/strong\u003e, 3 International Awards, and, this year, a special prize awarded to the Slow Food association.
