Spollo Kitchen

What do designers eat?
CTS Grafica and Zup Design have been looking for an answer to this question, and their answer is Spollo Kitchen: an incredible visual recipe book, the result of a kind of fusion between graphic design and cooking. The initiative, produced in collaboration with Polyedra and with the support of Aiap (Associazione italiana design della comunicazione visiva) and Adci (Art Directors Club Italiano), began in March 2013, when Italian and international designers were invited to illustrate their favourite recipes in a contest for outstanding culinary posters.
A jury of 5 professional designers selected 100 projects from the entries: the book Spollo Kitchen contains their recipes, explained and illustrated, to be both tried out and looked at.
This second edition of Spollo Kitchen is something more exciting than just an illustrated recipe book. It is a real design project, involving photography, cooking, infographics, thoughts and passions: a moment of reflection on the trends in Italian graphics, especially when it becomes a free and fun form of expression.
