Paul Cox was born in Paris in 1959, in a family of musicians of Dutch origin. He studied history of art and English. Along with his work as artist he publishes several children’s books appreciated by adults too: Le Mystère de l’eucalyptus (1987), Histoire de l’art (1999) – which
Paul Cox was born in Paris in 1959, in a family of musicians of Dutch origin. He studied history of art and English. Along with his work as artist he publishes several children’s books appreciated by adults too: Le Mystère de l’eucalyptus (1987), Histoire de l’art (1999) – which was awarded the Bologna Ragazzi Award – Cependant… (2002), Mon amour (2003). As graphic designer he realizes logos and advertising posters for the culture campaign of the city of Paris and the Opéra of Nancy; he collaborates with the most important French newspapers. He creates theatre scenes, games and installation arts, and exhibits in galleries and Museums all over the world. Many of his works are collected in Coxcodex 1 (2004).
