Archivio Series - Small books designed and packaged by the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti with the aim of documenting the artist's work, highlighting the most visionary and contemporary aspects of his artistic research. Agnetti worked by crossing different disciplines: painting, sculpture, criticism, epistemology, technology, literature with a political and poetic sensitivity that has shaped his path. The relationship between work and research was crucial for the artist who combined critical and theoretical aspects with the poetry of his paintings. Therefore each volume starts off from the works exhibited in the preparations made in the “Machiavelli 30” Archive.

The book offers a cross-section of Agnetti's last period, when his relationship with poetry, which were always underlined in his work, became a visible and formidable presence. Ample space is given to the Riserva di Caccia series, which recount the dilemma between desire and predatory instinct with images and words, and Dopo le Grandi Manovre, revisitations of ancient Japanese photographs made of semantic and temporal mirroring.
The volume also features the photographs of two installations conceived for the Castello di Portofino and accompanied by Agnetti's writing Castello Arte come Arte, and some frames taken from the photographic edition of the poetry collection Machiavelli 30 with a historical biographical commentary by Salvatore Licitra.
Even if they are from a previous period, two felts (one of which gives the title to the volume) are featured in the book because they reveal Agnetti's relationship with poetry to us better than any other text.

Texts from the artist: Castello Arte come Arte / Texts from the Archive: Introduction, Germana Agnetti and Guido Barbato; Vincenzo Agnetti the reluctant poet, Germana Agnetti / Critical essays by Giovanni Iovane, Salvatore Licitra and Giorgio Verzotti.
