Aaltissimo Alvar

Alvar Aaltissimo is a 21st century architectural designer who investigates the combination of architectural design, satire, current events, communication and memes. His projects go against the volatility of disposable social content: the basis of his poetics is the study of memetics as a tool for analysis, knowledge and understanding of social and urban phenomena. With the desire to place himself on the margin between virtual and real, he published on the subject of the real estate market in Italy "Case Milanesissime" (2021) and "Stanze Bolognesissime" (2022), catalogs of hyperreal ads complemented by essays by Cino Zucchi and Sarah Gainsforth. In 2023, he created the "Casa Milanesissima in 3D" booth at Milan Design Week, where the results of the "Disegna la tua Casa Milanesissima” ("Design Your Milanesissima House") call for entries were displayed, which saw over 500 participations.
