Anna Steiner, an architect, she works in the field of exhibition design and graphic design in the Origoni Steiner studio. She teaches at the Faculty of Design at the Politecnico di Milano. She has worked with numerous publishers, companies and public bodies on books and publications, visual identities and coordinated images. She has also curated numerous exhibitions dedicated to Italian graphic design. She is the daughter of Albe and Lica Steiner, two of the leading figures in the revival of Italian graphic design and communication (from corporate to political) after World War II. Both were active in the Italian Resistance - Albe was political commissar of a partisan brigade in the Ossola Valley, and Lica was a runner - they have always been profoundly linked by their common anti-fascist activism and their desire to revitalise the Italian cultural scene. To tell the story of their work, Anna Steiner, together with the Origoni Steiner studio, curated the travelling exhibition "Licalbe Steiner, partisan graphic designers" (Milan, Florence, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna, Rome) with related catalogue (Corraini). Together with Lica Steiner, she has curated exhibitions and lectures on the work of Albe Steiner, catalogued the materials in the Albe and Lica Steiner Archive, donated to the Politecnico di Milano, and worked on initiatives to disseminate the archive's works.
