Cristina Francucci is the director of the Art Communication and Education Department at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, where she teaches Art teaching and education, and directs the courses that lead to teaching qualifications. In 1997, she founded the Educational Department at MAMbo – Museo d’Arte Moderna di Bologna and has followed its scientific and planning aspects, outlining the educational methodology that characterizes it. She was also head of Didart, a European project on art teaching, and she has worked with major Italian museums. She has edited collections of art books for children and published works on art and education.
