Simone Sbarbati is the director and co-founder of Frizzifrizzi, an online visual culture magazine launched in 2006. Over the years he has written about illustration, design, fashion and culture in magazines such as Illustratore Italiano, Hamelin, Archivio, Dispensa, La Repubblica delle Donne, Grazia.it, CheFare and M.O.L.L.A. He has taught communications at IED Milan, IUAV Venice and the University of Bologna. He has presented and chaired sessions with some of the most important Italian authors in the field of illustration, comics and design. He has been on the board of the illustration festival Paw Chew Go since 2019.
