Inventario 13 | Everything is a Project

Tutto è Progetto

€10.00

With the new edition of INVENTARIO - the thirteenth - the all-encompassing exploration into all areas of creation and design culture continues. As the subtitle suggests, “Everything is A Project”, when the disciplines of design, art and architecture are combined with real life, they enter into dialogue with each other.

The cover of this edition, with an article that continues over the first pages, is dedicated to soap bubbles, thin spheres that are emblematic of the ephemeral, a game of colours and transparencies that has always enchanted children and adults alike. Destined to be depleted in a silent dispersion, they are fascinating throughout their short life and the light, elusive floating in the air of which they are composed.

Inside INVENTARIO, we find features that link the flow of thoughts, objects and images. The possibilities of the richness that empty space can acquire is explored by Beppe Finessi in “Bounces” and by Arianna Panarella who in "Lives as Projects” explores Eduardo Chillida’s idea in his design for the Montaña de Tindaya. In “Exercises in Style”, Paolo Bocchi shows the concrete result of the unusual union between manga and design, while Michele Calzavara investigates standardisation through the Bad Press project, by Diller + Scofidio. Cristina Fiordimela chooses the political and committed art of Ângela Ferrera for the column “The architecture of Art”; the scissors, with drawings and words by Giulio Iacchetti, are the protagonists of “Short Notes” and spatial continuity is the focus of the five plants chosen by Matteo Pirola for “Other Cases, Other Houses”. Marco Romanelli interviews the French designer Martin Szekely for “New Masters” and the brief but intense artistic experience of Francesco Lo Savio fills the pages of “Myths of Today” by Alberto Mugnaini. With his “Why” and the drawings by Marco Manini, Corrado Levi presents the Arabesque tables designed by Carlo Mollino made at the end of the 1940s. Nature is at the centre of the work by Elisabetta Di Maggio, analysed in its timeless beauty by Damiano Gullì in "Normal Wonders”, but also in Gabriel Orozco’s photography, chosen by Andrea Anastasio for “Absolutes”. The new feature “Hues” opens with Manolo De Giorgi and the colour orange, with some iconic images of objects and environments where this colour is protagonist; and dust, which does not slip into hidden corners but takes on different forms in the works of art presented by Marta Elisa Cecchi in "Bagatelle".
