Towards sharing common futures explores the role of design as an intellectual, creative and humanistic process within our conflictual everyday realities and highlights the importance of proposing alternative inclusive educational models leading to the co-creation of future plural societies. It gathers the ideas, actions and perpectives of etheroclite profiles, including design studios, thinkers, architects, activists, artists and philosophers, all of them involved in the perspective of more sustainable futures and particularly in the framework of past and present migration.

This book is a production of the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris– a major public institution of higher education, founded in 1767 under the authority of the French Ministry of Culture and Communication – in the framework of the EU Creative Europe 4Cs From Conflict to Conviviality through Creativity and Culture research project, which aims to explore the potential of culture and creativity as solutions to reflect on, deal with and resolve emerging forms of conflict.
