Talisman
Contemporary Symbolic Objects
The Talisman volume gathers a highly evocative series of talismans and symbolic artefacts with extraordinary evocative power. Barbara Brondi & Marco Rainò asked young but already established designers on the international scene to design innovative talismans: they are symbols, vehicles of meaning, objects that embody individual and collective values. Talisman thus illustrates a series of empathetic objects made of different materials and interesting shapes. The book designed with simple and captivating graphics, in Italian and English, features images of the designers’ creations accompanied by captions with project details and descriptions.
The designer selected for Talisman are: 45 Kilo, Antonio Aricò, Atelier NL, Marjan Van Aubel, AUT, Ferréol Babin, BCXSY, Pieke Bergmans, Julien Carretero, Matteo Cibic, Ciszak Dalmans, Commonplace, Daphna Laurens, Jonas Edvard, Germans Ermics, Faberhama, Jean-Baptiste Fastrez, Laureline Galliot, Gionata Gatto, Gero Grundmann, Pepe Heykoop, Marlène Huissoud, Kolk & Kusters, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Fernando Laposse, Julia Lohmann, Carlo Lorenzetti, Andrea Magnani, Philippe Malouin, Sabine Marcelis, Peter Marigold, Jo Meesters, Minale-Maeda, Mischer'Traxler, Itay Ohaly, Chiara Onida, Os Δ Oos, Liliana Ovalle, Lex Pott, Julie Richoz, Nick Ross, Birgit Severin, Shikay Tseng, Philipp Weber, Giorgia Zanellato, Anke Zedelius.
