1000 & 40 ways of using sponge and other materials

A book dedicated to materials, shapes and colours, and to the ability to combine and use them in new ways all the time: this book aims to be a container in the shape of a book for visual and material experimentations about (but not limited to) sponge.

Ice creams made of sponge, coloured collections of fruit and soft designer shapes represent a new visual alphabet of patterns, colour impressions and new compositions: from unusual points of view, everyday objects reveal curious particulars that can be freely approached and re-combined to be re-invented again. The result is an abstract art exhibition on paper, born from curiosity and experience, to be flicked through as a possible example of creative improvisation among the infinite available.

This book issues from the activity and in collaboration with Martini SPA, a company traditionally closely associated with design and experimentation, but its simple immediacy makes it enjoyable and used by everyone.
