ANIMAlità. Fantastic Animals of Design is the book that accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Triennale Design Museum, in which ten designers and international design studios were invited to create a collection of zoomorphic ceramic objects especially for the occasion.

Free to experiment on the forms, the designers often distanced themselves from the dogma of functionality at any cost, claiming the decorative vocation of their creations. The shapes of elephants, fish, beetles and even unicorns serve as inspiration to creating objects with identity and personality, sometimes metonymically evoking a detail (a horn, a beak), sometimes playing on ludic and unexpected hybridisations, steeped in irony.
