Antonio Marras

Antonio Marras celebrates his ten years of career with a book made of different kind of papers and sew by a thread and “ligazzo rubio”, a stripe of red fabric that has become a distinctive feature of his production. Marras’ history of creation comes back to life in clothes dressed by models sitting in the savage landscapes of Sardinia. In the wonderful photos by Yelena Yemchuk black and white contrast, sensuality and strength, contamination between tradition and innovation that characterizes Marras’ clothes come out. The book is enriched by sketches by the Sardinian artist that document his great artistic gift. An experimental book, with texts by journalist, art critics, artists like Carol Rama, Angela Vettese, Mariella Milani, Alessandra Mammì, Maria Luisa Frisa and a text by Marras himself.
