Marie-Josè Mondzain describes the vitalitỳ of images as something latent that grows and changes, imposing itself on the world in which we live and on our imagination.
This force that the image invokes as a symptom in an almost pre-archaic form is concentrated not only in the contemporary but also confronts us with its complexitỳ: perceiving the image, therefore, becomes a performative act.
Cartografie Percettive (Perceptual Cartographies) investigates the effects of images in each of us, and their cult, which becomes a cult of the invisible, is an invitation to observe what are the foundational elements in our imagination and on what actions they affect us.
This book is a sensory journey that constantly takes us toward the image, in a tireless attempt to see what lies beyond its very nature.
