The Winter Promenade [IT EN]

Prickly pears, bamboo and palm trees grow along the Winter Promenade in Merano: it is sunny all the time and there is no better place to go in winter. With the soft sounds of the Passirio river in the background, you can say hello to Mr. Tappeiner or stop and read on a bench with Franz Kafka.

La Passeggiata d'Inverno is the sixth book in the series to mark "Primavera a Merano", an event that focuses on the extraordinary natural and cultural heritage of the area, to discover - or rediscover - Merano in a new and engaging way. The book will be published as part of the "Muoviti a Merano" / "Meran beWegt" 2020 project.

Following stories by Harriet Russell (2015), Katrin Stangl and Michael Heinze (2016), Steven Guarnaccia (2017), Alessandro Sanna (2018) and Noemi Vola (2019), Andrea Antinori tells the story of the city from the Winter Promenade. The project is inspired by the heritage of Ópla, the Children’s Book Archive of the Civic Library of Merano, which celebrated its 20 year anniversary in 2017.
