Following Cuore, the illustrated series gains a new title: a classic, indeed the classic book of Italian cookery. It is the original version, humorously interpreted by graphic artist Alberto Rebori.

The result is undoubtedly a new and original "Artusi", entertaining and sharp, without being disrespectful. 790 recipes are accompanied by over a hundred black and white drawings and 80 coloured ones; numerous recipes have been transformed into brilliant cartoon strips which demonstrate how Artusi's writings are still valid, clear and effective.

Preface and afterword (both original) show how good writing and wide cultural knowledge needn't be strangers to a cookery book.
