Coffee Words

Coffee isn’t a drink, it is an entire world made up of stories, moments, places, habits, sensations, gifts of nature and achievements of human genius. A world that needs words to be shared, narrated by connoisseurs, described by scientists and sung by poets.

To mark Expo2015, illy·words devotes an entire issue to coffee and brings together some of these words in a small glossary illustrated by Yocci, enriched by contributions by Giuseppe Antonelli and Luca Scarlini. Preparations, literary and scientific insights, historical notes and customs mingle in this journey into the words of coffee.
