Nel paesaggio

Fondazione La Raia was set up with the aim of promoting critical reflection on the landscape through contributions covering several fields of investigation. Its first act was to create the project Nel paesaggio.

Artists, philosophers, landscape architects, photographers and architects are invited to live and experience - in the heart of the Gavi hills - the vineyards, fields and woods of La Raia, and to offer, through interventions and works of art, opportunities for new knowledge and new identity. In this way, the landscape, and what is designed in it, becomes an integral part of an experience. To be lived and shared.

Precisely on the occasion of the inauguration of three permanent works by Remo Salvadori, an internationally renowned artist capable of tracing harmonious cycles in which primary elements interact, the publication Nel paesaggio a project by Irene Crocco and Fondazione La Raia curated by Matilde Marzotto Caotorta, which collects visual notes by Remo Salvadori and texts by Elio Franzini.

In this book, the artist's themes are compared with the reflections of the philosopher, professor of Aesthetics at the University of Milan. An original contribution, from which emerges a fascinating reading of the relationship between art and the interpretation of nature.
