PARANORMAL. Tony Oursler vs Gustavo Rol is the catalogue of the exhibition which the Pinacoteca Agnelli had hosted from November 3, 2017. The exhibition follows a research path on the theme of collecting. This time the topic is the paranormal: a collection of works by American artist Tony Oursler and his personal collection of occult objects, dialogue with works by psychic painter Gustavo Rol. The selection has been made by Oursler himself together with the curator Paolo Colombo and the director of the Pinacoteca Marcella Pralormo.

Oursler is one of the first artists to use the video as an expressive medium; used alone or superimposed on sculptures, designs, installations and projections, it creats performances that interact with spectators. An American artist's path that finds many links with Rol's figure, a cultured and charismatic painter, who has been regarded by many as a psychic, but who used to call himself "a researcher and experimentator".
