Scanning

A road trip in stages, started in 1975. A continuous journey between city and countryside, day and night, suburbs and mountains. The windshield - whether rain-soaked, covered with snow or lit up by the beating sun – is the window through which the world passes by. The black and white of Mussat Sartor’s photographs melt into a thousand variations of grey, as described in Nicola Ponzio’s texts. The journey in Scanning becomes universal, searching for the veils of the everyday through pure and disinterested observation, towards the perception of variety. An emotion, that of discovery, which belongs to us all.
