Moretti Matteo

Born in 1977, Matteo Moretti is a designer, researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano and at the University of the Republic of San Marino. Co-founder of the visual journalism research platform and of the first European conference on VJS, he explores new design practices straddling design, information and social sciences, adopting collaborative and interdisciplinary design methodologies. A speaker for TEDx and Visualized.io, a juror for the World Press Photo for the interactive storytelling category (2017, 2018), his projects have been awarded with the Data Journalism Award (2015) and the European Design Award (2016 and 2017). In 2018, he was appointed as one of the 100 ambassadors of Italian design in the world by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
