Bharti Kher was born in London in 1969, and has lived in New Delhi since the 1990s. She studied at Middlesex Polytechnic, London, and trained in art and design at Newcastle Polytechnin, UK. Her work ranges from sculpture to painting to installation art; Kher explores a variety of themes in her work, including sexuality, motherhood, anatomy, pregnancy, and hybridity.
