De Pietri Paola

Paola De Pietri is a photographer who works on man’s relationship with space in its temporal dynamics in a continuous exploration of the idea of transience. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group shows at Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Bologna; Fotomuseum Winterthur; Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai; Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea, Cinisello Balsamo; Le Bal, Paris; MAXXI, Rome; Triennale, Milan; Leopold Museum, Vienna; Mart, Rovereto; Mast, Bologna; Bozar, Brussels; Museion, Bolzano; Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow; and Die Photographische Sammlung, Cologne. She has published a number of books including: Dittici (Art&, 1998), To Face (Steidl, 2012), Seccoumidofuoco (Linea di Confine, 2016), Istanbul New Stories (Steidl, 2017), Improvvisamente and Terre in Movimento (Quodlibet, 2018) and Da inverno a inverno (Marsilio, 2021). In 2009, she won the Albert Renger-Patzsch prize.
