Giulio Bizzarri. Arte divertissement pubblicità
"Giulio Bizzarri is a difficult figure to define univocally. All of his work is intended to unhinge a disciplinary reading in favor of a game of mirrors that, through the combinatorial system and the surrealist discard favored an always renewed, and therefore never taken for granted, vision of reality. A process that led him to consider art direction the tailor-made craft, always understood in terms of research, in advertising and communication in the cultural sphere as well as in teaching. A profession that was never limited by a technique or to a field of research that asked rather to be open to a choral system of which he was the inventor artificer, the solitary researcher, the perfectionist orderer." - From the introduction by Marta Sironi, art historian.
The volume accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Musei Civici of Reggio Emilia, which opens Nov. 29, 2023.
