Storia di un quadro

This book shows the story of Venezia, febbraio 2006, an oil on canvas that Maria Morganti started on 29th November 2005 and finished painting on 9th February 2006. Day after day, the milanese painter spreads the paint in overlapping coats covering almost the whole canvas: the result is not a simple monochromatic painting, but a surface where the different spreads of colour, which can be seen on the superior edge of the canvas, are symbols of the time passing by. The book has the same size of the painting, and contains a poem by art critic Barry Schwabsky.
