The night between December 12 and 13 is a magical night!

Everyone await Santa Lucia and knows that her arrival must be prepared with great care: they have to write a letter on time with all the gifts they want, set a table with the Saint's favorite foods and her little donkey, and when evening comes go to bed early and not peek until morning!

What happens, however, to an overly curious little girl who sneaks up in the middle of the night to be the first to see her playthings? Will she make the acquaintance of Santa Lucia? Or will she only receive coal because she did not wait until morning?

After the reinterpretation of this tradition by Andrea Antinori & Noemi Vola, Alice Beniero, Marta Lonardi and Laura Simonati, with Dling Dling Clop Clop Arriva Santa Lucia, it is Andrea Giulia Militello, with her palette of black and white, bright yellow and blue, who has fun reinventing and illustrating a tradition very dear to the inhabitants of Mantua and beyond, children or adults alike.
